Solar Lighting Pole Models

Pole-mounted solar street lights illuminate outdoor areas without requiring a grid connection. Decorative globe and lantern poles are suited to parks, gardens and landscapes; modern solar poles offer options for residential roads, car parks and facility surroundings.

For pole-mounted versions of the luminaires in our Solar Set range, the panel, battery and operating information refers to the same luminaire system. Pole height, tube or box-section construction, flange and anchor-bolt scope depend on the particular pole model.

All-in-One solar lighting integrates the panel, battery, controller and LED light in one luminaire. In All-in-Two solar lighting, the panel is separate while the battery and controller are inside the luminaire. Component arrangements in other systems with external panels depend on the luminaire and power system used.

Sunlight and Average Operating Time

  • Sunlight requirement: 6–8 hours of direct sunlight.
  • Average operating time for 3.2 V solar systems: 17–20 hours.
  • For 12 V models, average operating time is stated on the product page and depends on the luminaire and operating mode. Sensor-controlled and continuous operating times are assessed separately.
  • Operating time varies with the season, shading, sunlight and operating programme.

The equivalent lighting power stated for a product is not its actual electricity consumption. A solar panel's watt rating indicates the power of the panel itself.

Pole Material, Finish and Installation

Steel solar poles are protected with an electrogalvanized coating and electrostatic powder coating. Tube diameter, section dimensions, wall thickness, flange size and component construction vary by model. When choosing an installation location, consider both the panel's exposure to sunlight and the suitability of the ground for the pole. Models that include anchor bolts specify this on their product page.

Performance Expectations and Warranty

Expected battery cycle life: 2,000 charge and discharge cycles.

When the product's use and charging conditions are met, the battery is expected to retain 100% of its initial performance for at least 5 years in energy-saving modes, and the solar panel for at least 10 years. These periods do not indicate the end of service life. Performance expectations are assessed separately from the product warranty.

3.2 V solar systems have a 2-year warranty; 12 V solar systems have a 3-year warranty. The scope of the warranty and service terms are stated in the relevant product description.

Solar Lighting Pole Prices and Project Quotations

Solar lighting pole prices vary with the luminaire model, panel and battery configuration, pole height and installation scope. For product selection and a quotation, share the project location, area dimensions, desired overnight operating pattern and quantity.
